Welcoming back one of our favorite musicians, actor & rad human Jillian Shea Spaeder. We were thrilled when she made a special trip in from Philly to our Brooklyn studio to shoot and catch up. She has been enjoying the summer with her family after a year at college. We took a stroll over to one of our favorite vintage/consignment stores Consignment Brooklyn where they collaborated on some fresh looks that Jillian loved. Take a peek below at what we created, our convo about her dream band to play with, actor to act with, auditions, a special BTS You Tube video and her bare essentials. This lady is one of our life’s essentials cause she rocks!

The Bare Magazine: First off, thank you for making the trip in from Philly to shoot with us! Can you share some highlights of our shoot day in Brooklyn?
Jillian Shea Spaeder: I had a blast visiting Brooklyn! I especially loved getting to try on all of the clothing. I always love photo shoots, because I get to change up my style a bit!
Bare: You travel around quite often. Between Philly and LA. Can we add Australia to the mix since that's where your talented musician partner lives?
JSS: Yes! I’m hoping to take a trip to Australia this year! I love traveling and exploring whenever I can!
Bare: Fill us in on what you've been up to this summer so far?
JSS: I have spent most of this summer catching up with my family and working! I spent the last year away at college, so my parents were super excited to have me back!
Bare: You mentioned you've been auditioning quite a bit and coming close to snagging a role. Do you feel acting has pushed you to handle rejection and build confidence / resilience ?
JSS: I definitely think acting has pushed me to be able to handle rejection. Acting is a career path that could definitely break your confidence if you let it! I think I’ve just learned how to move on and remember that it isn’t the end of the world when I lose a role!
Bare: If you could play with any band who would it be and why?
JSS: I would go back in time and play with Queen! They are all so talented and the energy is so crazy!
Bare: If you had a choice to play opposite anyone in a film or TV show who would it be and what genre?
JSS: I would want to work with Jennifer Lawrence on a drama! She is probably my favorite actor. I feel like I would learn so much from watching her in person.
Bare: For our shoot you wore a lovely strand of pearls. Is that one of your favorite pieces of jewelry and why?
JSS: I actually just got those pearls a few months ago! I was talking to my mom about how I wanted some, and she went into her closet and got some from when she was younger! I have worn them pretty much every day since!
Bare: Your skin & hair is so naturally beautiful! What products do you love??
JSS: Thank you so much! For my skin I use CeraVe face wash and moisturizer. For my hair, I honestly don’t have a crazy routine! I just brush it in the shower and use leave-in conditioner.
Bare: During our shoot you were vlogging. Are you enjoying the world of TikTok?
JSS: I have always loved watching videos on TikTok! I just recently started getting into creating content as well. It’s such a great way to connect with people.
Bare: List your top 5 Bare essentials...they can be anything.
JSS: My number one would probably be my family and friends, of course! Next, I honestly don’t think I could go without my Kindle and my guitar. Lastly, I would say greek yogurt, and chocolate covered pretzels. I have an addiction!
