She plays Kirsten Furst an American talent agent who comes over to the UK to shake up the entertainment scene there. Just like her character Chelsey is a fierce mix of warmth, wit, great looks, strength and wisdom. So tune in and scroll down and check out our special photo diary of Chelsey chilling in Central Park and then getting ready for their special night. We also get the scoop on her love for clean/vegan products, laid back style and bare essentials.
The Bare Magazine: What did you love about your character and being part of Ten Percent?
Chelsey Crisp:I love that Kirsten is an outsider in London. While she’s desperately trying to find her footing as a boss, underneath it all she’s really looking for solid ground as a woman. I thoroughly enjoyed taking that journey and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people or a more beautiful city.
Bare: Were there any makeup/hair products used on set to create Kirsten's look that you loved?
CC: My makeup artist on the shoot was Bex Palmer and she used a few things I loved, especially on my eyes. She started with Two Faced Shadow Insurance Eye Primer to hold everything in place. She then layered Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk pallet for shadow and finished the look with Smashbox Superfan mascara.
Bare: On this quick trip to NYC what skincare staples do you pack - do you try to stick to a regime?
CC: I have sensitive skin, so I keep my products simple and I don’t change them when I travel. I’ve always got IS Clinical sunscreen and Avene moisturizer on hand. For makeup, I like clean, vegan products: Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation, Au Naturale lip gloss in Passionfruit, Pacifica mascara & Milani baked blush in Rose are my daily picks.
Bare: Do you have a go-to facial/spa/hair salon in LA?
CC: NOOR is my one-stop hair salon. Paul Norton’s been styling my hair for red carpets for years and I was thrilled when he opened his own place. He cuts my hair and Daphne Makris does my balayage color. As a bonus, Paul’s dogs are usually on hand for a cuddle too.
Bare: How would you describe your personal style?
CC: Acting requires constant hair, makeup and wardrobe, but on my own time, I’m casual, comfy and relaxed. You’d be hard pressed to find me in anything other than jeans and T-shirts. If I’m heading out, I’ll throw on a vegan leather jacket and some cute boots. I come from a casual family and no matter how long I live in LA, that’s just who I am.
Bare: When do you feel most confident and sexy?cc:
CC: When I’m with my husband. He’s the most wonderful, grounded antidote to the craziness that is Hollywood. I can be all dolled up for a premiere or red-faced & puffy after a long day of shooting and he looks at me just the same.
Bare: Would you ever want to experiment with being brunette or changing up your look for a role...even playing an iconic beauty from a past era?
CC: I think my hair has been every color and style over the years to play different roles! It’s only been recently that it's stayed the same, which has been nice. It’s healthier when I can keep more of it’s natural dark blonde like I have now.
Bare: What are your top 5 bare essentials...they can be anything.
CC: I’m all about long-term skin health, so sunscreen, chapstick, a sunhat, water and quality moisturizer are my picks here.
