Jesse Williams
We were lucky enough to have a quick catch up with Jesse Williams in NYC recently (last we were together he was starring in “Take Me Out” on Broadway) He flew in from Italy where he was filming his new Amazon series “COSTIERA” for two premieres at Tribeca Film Fest. First premiere was for “The Great Lillian Hall” where he stars opposite the great Jessica Lange. The evening we met up he was getting ready to attend the opening of “Following Harry” a documentary about Harry Belafonte that he is featured in, and a project very near and dear to his heart. “Promoting a movie is a privilege, never mind two in the same week in my favorite city, which I still consider home. But being able to celebrate my friend and mentor Harry Belafonte with his family and the wonderful community he constructed around him, in love, was absolutely the highlight of this trip. After 4.5 months filming my new show in Italy, I flew directly here to be with each one of these beautiful people. And for that, I feel as lucky as I am.”

Seeing a play. This time I saw the homie Jessica Lange in Mother (She was amazing as usual) at the Helen Hayes Theater, where she saw my Broadway debut in Take Me Out. (Our Tony Award sits proudly in the lobby.)
Hitting a new restaurant and a longtime favorite.
